Leadership Triangle Box

So here is my take on the box they showed us how to make at Leadership 2015.

  • Start with card stock measured at 8" x 11".
  • On the 8" side, score at 1", 3", 5" and 7".
  • On the 11" side, score at 2" and 9".

  • Next you need to find the center edge of the 2" square at the center of each end.  From there you will take a ruler and score from that center to the opposing corners of that square.  I found this was easiest by putting my card stock on a paper piercing mat and running a line with my scoring tool along a straight edge.
  • Then you will need to trim as shown above.  The tiny 1" piece on each corner gets cut off and you continue cutting to the second scored line.  Also, trim each flap a little on each end so it will fit in the box nicer when your project is completed.

  • Using your corner rounder you will round the four corners of the largest flap as shown above.
  • Use your bone folder to crease all the scored edges as shown above.
  • While the front flap is folded, use the small oval punch to punch out a little finger hold.
  • Add sticky strip as shown.

  • Now it's time to start putting the box together.  It should look like this.

  • You will then insert the flap with the punched out finger hold into the back part of the box while pushing in the side edges to get this look.

  • Using Designer Series Paper that is 5-1/2" x 8" wrap it around the project to create a belly band.  As you are going around your box pinch with your fingers every edge then you can used the bone folder and give it a crisp edge once you know where to fold it.
  • Attach the belly band to itself using adhesive and embellish as you would like.
Have fun making this yourself.  It goes together quite quickly and as they told us at Leadership, it fits a Toblerone candy bar in there perfectly!  Sounds yummy to me!
