With Sympathy Calla Lilies

None of us ever want to have to use a sympathy card but when I do need one I'm always glad I have a few in my stash as I'm usually not in the mindset at that point to be creative and make something.
Here is a classic sympathy card that I just recently made.  It actually uses three stamps sets on the front of the card.  The calla lilies are from the Remarkable You stamp set, the word "sympathy" is from the Tin of Cards stamp set and the "with" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I just used the "with" from the "with sympathy" stamp.
I also used the Sahara Sands marker to trace around the lower edges of the flower to give it more depth and used the 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the stamen of the flower.

I actually used a fourth stamp set (Heartfelt Sympathy) on the inside for the sentiment and carried over the lilies from the front of the card.

You Are Remarkable

Here is a card I made yesterday.  I used my aqua painter to paint the flowers and it was so fun to do.  I hadn't pulled that tool out in a while and it was great to use it again.  Makes me wonder why I don't use it more often.  Hmmm...

The two white layers are actually on Shimmery White card stock and are temporarily adhered together while the stamping and coloring are done.  After that is done you take them apart and add the black border in the middle.  It really makes it pop!  I used a 1" circle punch and punched out a piece of the layer of Basic Black cardstock before attaching it together - saves paper!  That is folded in half around the edge of the two pieces before the ribbon is attached.

And here is my inside.  Another card - ready to make it's way out into the world!  ;-)

December Paper Pumpkin

My December Paper Pumpkin arrived in the mail today and I had to put it together right away.  It is so fun and goes together lickity split!  I think these would make adorable gifts for co-workers or cute to sit on any desk.

So this is what the finished project looks like.  It's an adorable calendar that you rotate the pages each month.  They all sit on a stand together and are so cute.

Here are the first three months with the empty stand so you can see what it looks like.

All of the flowers are pre printed and you can just pop them out of the paper before attaching them to each calendar.

Everything is included - even the gold foil the twine and even glue dots and Stampin' Dimensionals.

You'll want to put yours together as soon as it arrives!  Have fun making your December Paper Pumpkin!  And below is a video to show you how quickly it all goes together.

Peace

This is my Christmas card this year.  With all that our world is going through right now, we are definitely in need of peace.  I layered elements of silver for this card with the silver foil paper and the silver glimmer paper and even our silver cording.

I popped the ornament up using our Stampin' Dimensionals which gives it a little more texture.  And I love how our Curvy Corner Trio punch gave the layers a little more punch.

I wish each and every one of you a peaceful Christmas and New Year.

Gift Tags

Here are some gift tags I came up with today.  It was fun to use up some of my Designer Series Paper and whip these cuties up.

I used our Perfect Pines framelits with a little star punch to top off this tag in glimmer paper.  I used our Merry Moments Designer Series Paper with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.

From here on out I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch and the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper and the Antique Tags stamp set.  The base of this card is Real Red with Mossy Meadow trim.  I also used the gold cording trim which really finished it off.

Night of Navy was used for the base of this card.  I also used the Label Bracket punch to punch out the Noel.

This one seemed to call for some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  I used the 2" circle punch to punch out the image of Santa.

Mossy Meadow made up the background with Soft Sky as the accent card stock.  I used the Note Tag punch for the center and used our markers to color in the star and the ornaments.
Try making some.  They are fun and they go together quickly.  Have fun!

Snowman Gift Bag

Here's a cute little gift bag I whipped up this morning.  I used some of our chevron gift bags I had lying around, grabbed my punches and away I went.  It was fun to come up with something cut so quickly.

Let It Snow!

Doesn't this little guy just make you want to smile?  I love the way it looks like he's looking up at the falling snow.  His hat and face are just made with the 2" and 2-1/2" circle punches.  The carrot nose is freehand cut - easy peasy!  A little sponging with some small tiny lines to give it the "carrot" look and you are off and running.  And I love the Softly Falling embossing folder.  It really is so versatile.  I also used the shimmery white card stock on the front to give it a little more sparkle which is subtle but nice.  I used the owl builder punch for the eyes.  I punched out the largest circle and cut it in half then added a little of our white gel pen to make him come alive.  The smile is using the journaling pen from the Project Life collection.

And for the inside - a few snowflakes stamped tone on tone with a little "Time to chill" whimsey and this card is good to go!
Thanks to France Martin for this inspiration.

Reason for the Season

This month for my church card ministry this is the card that I came up with.  I ended up making 76 of these to send out to people from our church.  I used our retired Blendabilities to color the poinsettia but you could also just use our regular markers and I think it would be just as pretty.

Here is what I put on the inside of the card.  I love the fact that this stamp set has different sentiments that work well both on the inside and outside of the card.

A Very Merry Christmas To You

Here is an elegant but bright card that I fell in love with.  I used the Softly Falling embossing folder to highlight the front images, stamped the poinsettias in Memento Black ink and then used our Stampin' Write markers to color them in.  I fussy cut them and trimmed up the top poinsettia so that a little of the flower would be above the circles.  Some gold cording tucked behind and it's all done.

I love that this stamp set also comes with words to put in the inside.  I made some using the Peace Be With You and others using the Jesus is the Reason for the Season.  They both work beautifully.

Cardinal

I thought this was a fun card that could translate beyond Christmas which is nice to have too.  I didn't add any sentiments so it can be used in any way that one might want to.

I stamped the cardinal outline in black and the branch in Soft Suede and the cardinal body and berries in Cherry Cobbler.  I embossed the second layer of Very Vanilla with the Woodland embossing folder and sponged it with Soft Suede before "framing" the cardinal and lifting it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The small banner punch and a touch of Baker's Twine finished up the front.

I always like the inside to have a little something to mimic the front of the card so here is a little branch to carry it over.

Wild About Flowers

Here is a simple but elegant quick to put together card.  I took a piece of 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock and scored it at 1-7/8" and 2" on the Simply Scored.  I then flipped it over and ran the smaller part through the Big Shot using the Boho Chic embossing folder.  The leaves were stamped off once before stamping them in Crumb Cake ink onto the un-embossed side of the card stock.  I stamped the leaves twice - once higher than the other.  I then came back in with Calypso Coral ink and stamped the flowers twice to correspond with the stems.
What I liked about this card was with using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, I could vary the sentiments from sympathy to anniversary or any of the other sentiments and make it work using the same basic card - just change the sentiment.

Of course I had to add a little more of the flower on the inside of the card too.
