Life Happens

Welcome to your next stop on the Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle.
Here is a fun card to share with a friend.  We know crazy stuff happens to all of us but when you have a friend by your side, somehow the burden is not as bad.
Anyway, I love these little coffee cups and the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper really blends well to create such cute cards.  I love the wood textured look behind the cups from the Designer Series Paper and I cut strips of the hearts on the green paper to go above and below it.  The Linen Thread tied around the cups also adds some charm that is so sweet.

I even added a stripe on the inside as I love a little something on the inside of my cards too.

Using some more of the Designer Series Paper and now I have a coordinating envelope to go with it.

Make A Wish Butterflies

This card was a lot of fun to make.  On the outside it kind of looks rather regular but when you open it up...

it has a full banner of butterflies to greet you.  I cut these butterflies out of copy paper as cardstock would get too thick.  The copy paper works perfectly.  I used 6 butterflies and after folding them in half I joined the tips of their wings together using glue dots.

Here is another angle of how they just kind of flutter in the inside of your card.  Have fun trying it.

Orange Happy Birthday

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that we get a publication that comes out only for us.  It is loaded with wonderful ideas.  This card was one of them.  As soon as I saw this card I knew I had to get the stamp set and make my own version of it.  I just loved how the wood grain and the oranges complement each other.  And the enamel dots just finish it off nicely.

And the inside is just fun and unexpected.  If you want access to great card ideas like this and want to consider joining Stampin' Up! contact me.  I'd love to have you on my team.
