For the country in all of us here are some fun boots to have in your stash.  This card goes together so fast.  I used the stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set and went around the whole edge of the Very Vanilla card stock with the Crumb Cake ink to give it a worn feeling.  The boots were stamped in Early Espresso then colored in using an aqua painter with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink.  I made a ring of "rope" from our linen thread and attached it using a rolled up glue dot.
It's always fun to make an envelope that matches the card so here it is.  On each of the boots I added some grounding by taking the Crumb Cake ink and aqua painter and just giving it a little shadow.
I made a few of these and some I used as a Father's Day card with that sentiment but it also works just as well as a birthday card.

Bokeh Technique

Bokeh is a blur in the background of a photographic image.  It is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens.  Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.
So here is my take on the technique.  I started with So Saffron, then Peekaboo Peach then Watermelon Wonder ink and using a sponge dauber just randomly smeared ink across the Whisper White card stock.  I didn't get too crazy about being perfect - just getting color on the paper.  I then took a quarter sheet of our card stock vellum and randomly punched different sized holes in the vellum.  This was just a template.  Using the template which I continued to move about on the card stock that I had just colored, I used the Whisper White ink and another sponge dauber and colored white circles randomly all over the paper, intensionally overlapping at different points until I got the look I was going for.

I attached it to another Whisper White piece to give it a framed look.

Here is the inside.  I blocked off a section using a post it note and did the same effect on just a sliver of the edge.  I thought it gave it a nice look to coordinate with the outside.  It's really a fun technique that could be used with all different colors.   I challenge you to give it a try!  😁

To An Amazing Mother

I just love this paper and the color combination!  The Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper just really pops!  I used the stamp from Everyday Tags and stamped it twice, once in Mint Macaron and once in Island Indigo.  I punched out the Mint Macaron piece using our 2" circle punch and the Island Indigo using our 1-1/4" piece, only punching out the center.  I attached them using Stampin' Dimensionals and then layered that onto one of our metallic foil doilies.  I also used our rhinestones at the points of the Mint Macaron stamped piece.  The Dapper Denim ribbon wrapped around also gives it a nice touch.

Even though the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set has been around forever it is a MUST HAVE as there is a stamp for EVERY occasion in there!  You just have to have this stamp set in your collection!!
