Grateful for You

I'm involved in a card ministry at our church where we make and send out cards to members of our congregation each month.  This is the card that I came up for this month's card ministry.  I received a version of this card in a card swap from Josie Wicklund.  (Thanks Josie!)

It's a relatively simple card and uses our Designer Series Paper yet a little goes a long way.  And when I'm making 40 of these cards thats a good thing!  And the same goes for the "bling" in the glimmer paper, our gold thread and also our sequins.

On Stage Local, Milwaukee

This past weekend a number of us from my team were able to go to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to attend Stampin' Up's On Stage Local event.  We all had such a wonderful time and learned SO MUCH and are quite excited about the upcoming catalog.  Above you will see from right to left Shelby Crady, myself, Mary Booker, Josie Wicklund, Melinda Russell, Jodie Wetzell and Melanie Battles.  If you follow my blog you will see that I often get inspired by this wonderful group of talented ladies.

One of the fun things about attending these events are the prize patrols where we have the opportunity to win new products.  Here is Josie Wicklund with her prize.

Melinda Russell also won a beautiful stamp set.  It's so much fun to cheer and celebrate when one of us wins something.

And Jodie Wetzell was all smiles when she got her free stamp set.  I think the Starbucks in the background was also part of her smile!  ;-)

Thanks and Giving

Here is a gorgeous card that was so fun to make.  I glued the Gold Foil card stock leaves that I had cut out on the Big Shot onto the Basic Black card stock before I ran it through the Big Shot again using an old cutting plate that was all scratched up and it made a beautiful pattern onto the Gold Foil giving the leaves a veiny look that is so interesting.

I used a retired gold ink pad to stamp a leaf on the inside to tie it in with the front of the card.

The Basic Black card stock piece is lifted up with Dimensionals before attaching it to the Very Vanilla card stock that was flat adhered to the front of the Basic Black card base.

O, come all ye faithful

Here is a Christmas card we had at our last Card Buffet.  Simple, yet elegant.  The Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder adds a nice touch to the edge of the card and the gold stripe makes a stunning statement.

I attached the wise men with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up a bit and I think it really works.

And I love that this stamp set has a nice sentiment for the inside too.  I made this card in black and white but I also think it could be stunning in Night of Navy and Whisper White.  Just thinking'....

Wonderland

I love how this card captures the feeling of winter yet somehow still has a warmth to it.  Adding the vellum card stock over the stamped images of the trees almost gives it a feeling of seeing the trees through the mist.

I'm not usually one who is comfortable putting something off to the side - I'm a type A line up everything type of gal - but this one just works!

And - SURPRISE!  It's a fancy fold card so it has an interesting opening.  I started off with Mossy Meadow card stock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and then scored it at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8".  The Crumb Cake card stock is only attached to the left flap opening with the sentiment oval overhanging it all.

Here is one more look at how it looks on the inside.  Fun - right?

Happy Birthday Presents

Here is just a fun little card.  I love the bright bold colors and it just brings a smile to my face.

I stamped each "gift" on another piece of Whisper White card stock, cut it out and then attached it to the card front.  The green gift has our cotton ribbon wrapped around it and the yellow gift is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The rest are just glued down with our liquid glue.  The "bows" are stamped right on the card front.

Isn't this the prefect sentiment for the inside of this card?  I love it when it all comes together!

Christmas Wreath

Here is a wreath that I made for a holiday decoration using Stampin' Up! supplies.  I started with a grapevine wreath that I purchased from my local craft store.  I added battery operated twinkle lights that I just wound around the wreath.  The battery pack is behind the flowers.  I then wrapped our gold glitter ribbon around the wreath.

Then I went to town making flowers.  We have so many wonderful punches to make all kinds of flowers.  I used as much gold and red as I could and hot glued them to my wreath.

Here is another angle of more of the flowers.  It was a lot of fun to do other than getting burned by the hot glue gun (why didn't I think to use the low temperature glue gun???) it was a blast to do!!

To A Classic

We were recently asked to add a masculine card to our selection for our next Card Buffet so of course the first stamp set that came to mind for me was our "Guy Greetings" stamp set.  I made a version of this card at a friend's Card Buffet so I thought our ladies would enjoy this too.  Thanks Melinda Russell!

I thought our Basic Metal Buttons would add a nice finishing touch to that masculine look.  I wanted to add SOMETHING but we can't do our girlie buttons and bows for the men in our lives so I thought this was a nice compromise.

I chose to make this a birthday card but the Guy Greetings as many other sentiments that could be added instead here.  Hope this gives you inspiration for that special guy in your life.

October Paper Pumpkin

These are the cute cards from this month's Paper Pumpkin.  This card is a note card size.

This card is a gift card size.

This is a full size card.  They all go together so quickly and the stamp set is versatile enough that I can see using it for many other projects.

And here is a video showing how these cute cards come together.  Enjoy!
