Easter Treat Box

Here is a fun and cute Easter treat box.  I got the tutorial from Chat Wszelaki.  I highly recommend her stuff.  She is an amazing designer and comes up with some darling ideas.

Start off with card stock cut at 2" x 11" and another cut at 4-1/2" x 4-1/2".
Score the 2" x 11" at 4-1/2" and 6-1/2".
Score the 4-1/2" x 4-1/2"at 1-1/4" on all 4 sides.

Using the bone folder crease all the scored lines and then cut as shown above.

Bring the sides together adding a little glue and then bring the bottom up and using a stapler, staple it all together as shown.

Your box should look something like this.

Cut some coordinating Designer Series paper at 2" x 1-1/4".  You will need 2 of these.  Glue these over the stapled sides of the box.

Using the Ornate Tag Topper punch, punch both ends of the 2" x 11" piece of card stock.

You should end up with something that looks like this.

Fold on the creased lines and then add some ribbon through the holes at the top to hold it together.

Insert your small box that you just made into the bottom of the Tag Topper holder.

Cut some more Designer Series Paper that coordinates with your color choice at 3-1'2" x 1-3/4".

Flag the bottom of this paper to give it the look of a banner.

Add sticky strip to the top of the back of this paper.

Attach this to the front of your treat box.

Cut more colored card stock at 3" x 2" and Whisper White card stock at 2-1/4" x 1-3/4".

Punch the colored card stock with the Ornate Punch and stamp your sentiment onto the Whisper White card stock.  Take some Linen Thread and tie it through a coordinating button.

Put it all together, add some "grass" and candy and this is what you end up with.

I used the color choices from the freebies in our Sale-A-Bration of ribbon and buttons so these are Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral.  Have fun giving it a try!
