Tiny Triangle Box

Here is a cute little triangle box that is fast and easy to make.  You can make 6 of these little boxes with each 12 x 12 sheet of Designer Series Paper.

Start with a piece of Designer Series Paper cut at 5-3/4" x 4".

On the long side, score the paper at 1-3/4" and 3-1/2".

On the shorter side, score the paper at 1-1/2" and 2-1/2".

Now turn the paper back to the original way you had it and make small marks at the 7/8", 2-5/8" and 4-3/8" points.

Use a ruler or straight edge to follow that marking down so you can put a mark at the other end  of the paper to match it.

Now using your ruler, make lines from the dots to where the scored lines intersect or to the edge of the paper.  At the one end that is a little longer, you will come in at 1/2" and make a mark there on the scored line that you will use to bring your straight line to.

When you do this to both side, it will look like this.

Cut along the marked lines and at the scored line at the one end that will make a tab.

Fold along all the scored lines and using a corner rounder, round the ends of the tab.

Use a small punch to punch out a circle on the tab.  I used the 1/8" handheld punch.

Put some liquid glue on the middle triangles and bring the triangles without the tab to the outside and glue it together.

It will look like this.

To close the little box you will bring in the remaining triangles and slip them inside the box like this.

It should look like this.  Your box is done.  Now - to decorate it!

There are countless ways you could decorate this little box but I chose the 7/8" Scallop circle and the Bitty Butterfly punches and some white cotton ribbon.

Add a little pearl action onto the butterfly and you've got a sweet little box to give as a gift.  You can fill it with some Hershey Kisses or Starbursts or whatever other wonderful ideas you might come up with.  Hope you have fun making your own tiny triangle box!
