Celebrate!

This card has been around for a while but I still like it and wanted to make it.  I had some Baked Brown Sugar card stock left over from our last catalog and thought it would be a good use for this card.  You could easily substitute our Crumb Cake card stock and get much the same look.  It's simple but still has that "Americana" look to it that I was going for.  A few punches, a little linen thread and some rhinestones and you're good to go!

And you know those stars I punched out from the front?  Yup, I found a use for them!  Love to embellish the inside too!

World's Greatest Husband

I'm one of the lucky ones who got to marry my best friend.  35 years ago today I walked down the aisle to start a life with my dear husband.  So this is the card I made for him.  He used to work on cars with his Dad when he was younger but it's hard to work on them today as they have changed so much with all the computer stuff!  But he still loves cars so I thought this would fit him well.

I added a little of the Designer Series Paper on the inside also to keep the look going.  I have Lee Conrey to thank for this idea.

June Paper Pumpkin

This is one of the card selections from the June Paper Pumpkin kit.  It goes together very quickly and it's just a fun card.  The kit doesn't skimp on embellishments as it gives you stickers, twine, buttons, envelope liners and provides the dimensionals and glue dots as well.  It goes without saying that the stamp set and ink are also provided.  It's a fun kit to put together.  You might enjoy joining up for your own Paper Pumpkin.  All you have to do is go to PaperPumpkin.com to sign up.

Summer Silhouettes Birthday

Here is another card using the pretty Summer Silhouettes stamp set.  I love the earthy, country feel to this one - and oh, so simple.  Also - nice and flat for mailing!  Always a plus!

Here is the inside.  I always love a little something on the inside too. Thanks to Sarah-Jane Rae for this inspiration

Hello Ewe

Do you ever have a card that just puts a smile on your face?  This one did for me.  What fun.  So, thanks to Kelly Kent here are the basics:

Hair:  Scallop Circle from the Tree Builder Punch
Ears:  Flower from the Flower Fair Framelits
Face:  1-1/4" Circle Punch with sides cut off
Eyes:  Middle size circle from Owl Builder Punch & circles from Cupcake Builder Punch
Body:  Tree top from Tree Builder Punch
Legs"  Tree trunk from Tree Builder Punch

I used 3 strips of washi tape from Cherry On Top Designer Washi Tape for the look of grass under our little "ewe".  The "hello" was from A Dozen Thoughts stamp set  and the letters were cut out of the Little Letter Thinlits.

I hope you get to make a little ewe too!

Happy Birthday Robot

Here is a fun card for that little boy in your life.  I love how the Foil Card Stock gives off the feeling of the metal in the robot.

A little more red on the inside and you're good to go!  I'm so sorry the Word Bubbles Framelits have been discontinued but they were just perfect for this card.  Thanks to Alison Barclay for the inspiration for this card.

Hope Your Day Stacks Up

This is such a fun stamp set to work with.  I was able to incorporate many of the new "In Colors" from our new catalog.  The ice cream cone is made from the Delightful Dijon and the 3 ice-cream flavors are also some of our new in colors.  A little White StazOn made the sprinkles on the top layer of ice cream.  I also added crystal effects to give the cherry on top a little more pizzazz.

A little splash on the inside finishes it off thanks to the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  And thanks to Courtenay Heuston for inspiration for this card.

Awesomeness

This was a quick and easy back ground with tons of flare.  I just used the Stipple Blossom stamp and randomly stamped it all over Whisper White card stock using Island Indigo ink and ta da!  Isn't it cool?!  It looks like gorgeous designer paper.

Here is what the inside looks like.

Change the sentiment and all of a sudden the "thank you" card becomes a wedding card!  I love how it can easily be used in another way since the sentiment is the main focus.

And here is how the inside of the second card looks.  Try it - you'll like it!

Make A Wish

Here is a card inspired by a card given to me by my good friend Christine Lewis.  I love how it has the look of a dirty baseball!  For a little more texture to the front of the card I used Watercolor Paper and it kind of soaked up the Sahara Sand ink that I stamped off once before stamping it onto the paper.

You can see the inside here and also how I popped the "a" with a Stampin' Dimensional.

I used a lid out of my recycling bin that was on it's way out the door anyway for the template to make the partial circle on the front of the card.  I used the Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker to make the circle and also the stitched dots around the circle.

Build a Birthday

Here is a card made with one of our new stamps sets from the 2015-2016 annual catalog.  Josie Wicklund was also the designer of this card.  She had it available at her last card buffet.   I love all the elements of this card and the washi tape she used to tie it all together.  And don't the little rhinestones just set if off perfectly?

Legos

What kid doesn't like legos?  This adorable card was designed by Josie Wicklund and was available at her last card buffet.  Isn't this sweet?  Some quick coloring with the Stampin' Up! markers, a little fussy cutting  to get the legos onto the circle punched out - easy peasy - great card!

Nuts About You

This last weekend I was fortunate enough to go to some wonderful friends card buffet and this was one of the fun cards we made.  It was designed by Melinda Russell and I thought it was SO clever.  She took part of the saying from the Really Good Greetings set, colored it with markers, then put the word "nuts" together from the Designer Typeset photopolymer set to get a whole new saying.

Here is what she did for the inside.  Cute, right?

Congrat YOU lations

This card measures in at 4-1/4" x 4-1/2".  You start with a piece of card stock at 11" x 4-1/4".  You score this "landscape" at 4-1/2", 5-1/2" and 6-1/2".  By folding in the inside piece as shown below (holding it together at the spine with Sticky Strip) you can create the gift tag holder on the inside.  Your Word Window Punch will help you cut the card stock at the fold to create your gift card holder.

It's another great creation by Melanie Battles.  I love how she added the sentiment on the inside and also the punched out stars to give it that extra "wow" factor.

Summer Silhouettes

This card came together quite quickly using the Summer Silhouettes stamp set.  The front looks kind of serious but the inside lightens up a big.  Still a nice elegant card to send to someone you are thinking of.

Thanks to Dawn Olchefske for this idea!
